Nathaniel strolled down the hallways to his first class of the day quite upset after getting that call from Aline this morning. "Who did those jerks think they were?!" Oh the second he found a way to get in contact with them they would get an earful out of him. That was for certain. For now he had to get to class as he was always one minute after the bell rang late. All of his students better be present or his wrath they would earn. He marched right in and straight to his boom box that he kept there and pressed play. No morning introduction or words to start his class ever came from him. The notes of classic music flowed through the classroom which calmed him as he took a deep breath and then looked at his class. (Link to the music played, www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS7A-YoxREE ) "Can anyone tell me what kind of music that was, where its from, and what is the other form of it from the same location?", he questioned as he looked at each of his students.

Maeiko was there. Right on time. As always. Her dark eyes scanned the room and scowled slightly at what she saw. People panicking to finish their assignments at the very last minute, some asleep still and some others texting. Did no one take this seriously? She was exhausted right now but, that didn't stop her from paying attention and striving to actually learn something! honestly, the academy was letting practically anyone in it's doors lately.
Her eyes were drawn to the door as Professor Anderson walked in. Now, here was something she could relate to. No sappy words, no pointless lecturing. Just straight to the point. It was something she greatly adored about her music professor. She respected him so much....and knew that she could learn a lot from him.
The music traveled throughout the room, and a small smile worked its way onto the Japanese girls face. Closing her eyes she listened to the sound and enjoyed it. Oh, how vastly different music was around the world. Each was unique and beautiful in it's own way. It was why she despised those who weren't open minded enough to listen to each before they judged it. Artists all around the word put their hearts into the music....its why she took this class. So she could learn to appreciate each and every one.
Raising her hand, she spoke in response to his question.
"It's Hindustani, sometimes known as North Indian Classical Music. As the name implies, it was founded in India. The other form of it is Carnatic Music, which is the classical music from Southern India."
